Why Bock Talks?

I’ve been a speaker and consultant by profession since 2005. I’m not sure whether that automatically qualifies me to create this platform by that mere fact or whether I’ve become compelled to share my voice because I just can’t not do it anymore.

At any rate, now seems like the time to begin a new venture to allow others to share their voices, too.

Bock Talks will have a format – it won’t be a free-for-all – but we will certainly invite alternative points of view on whatever topic we need to address. The only stipulation we will have when we talk is that our conversation follows these standards:

I know that controversial topics can invite passion which is unpredictable. And that might go against these standards. And maybe some of them are more subjective than objective. But we’ll do our best.

We may have these conversations in person, through podcast, over the Zoom platform, or through Facebook Live. Our intention is that we can provide opportunities for people to get better at dialogue – suspending previous assumptions for the purpose of learning from each other.

I hope you’ll join us!

  1. I can’t wait to join the conversations, Jodee. Your words of wisdom have kept me thinking for years. Thank you for all you do to push conventional thinking.

    1. We’ve got some big work to do as we put more elevated conversation into the world. I’m glad you’re on this journey, too, Diane!
