First they will laugh

I’ve heard it said that if your dreams and goals don’t scare and excite you, then they’re not big enough.

Maybe I should say if your dreams and goals don’t make someone else laugh, they’re not big enough.

Have you ever stopped dreaming because someone else laughed? That laughing is probably more about them than it is about you. People laugh when they feel threatened … and sometimes that means you’ve hit a nerve with them because you’re dreaming bigger than they ever could.

Gandhi told us “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you then you win.”

What are you passionate about despite the opinions of others? Get after it!
